I saw the notice on the website that my AP was approved but I haven't got even the approval notice yet, I thought It was strange. It was like that with you guys? Do they send the notice together with the card?

Hello gurus,
I got the RFE on my I485(PD:May 2002 - India- EB3- I140 approved on jan-2009) application. The query is,
The birth certificate you submitted has a delayed registration. Please comply with the following.
a) Hospital birth records which name the child and both parents.
b) Medical records which name the child and both parents
c)school records which name the child and bother parents.
d) Census records which name the child and both parents.
c) Religious records in the form of a certificate under the seal of the organization where the baptism, dedication, presentation or comparable e rite occurred following the birth,showing the date and place of the child's birth, the date of the religious ceremony, and the name of the child's parents.
I have the transfer certificate and the mark statements that has the father's name, my name and the date of birth. In general, schools and colleges in india, don't include the mother's name. Also i born at home, i don't have any hospital birth records and medical records. I am totally confused what records i need to provide to USCIS. I discussed some famous attorney, they too encouraging me to get any form of documents with my mother name back home in india. Any advice is greatly appreciated. I'm EB3-ROW and at the last stage of I-485 processing. Just waiting for the bulletin to tell me I'm current. Two weeks ago, I found out my lawyer has been blacklisted. Just like Fragomen. Apparently my lawyer performed "too many miracles."
Now I wish to change lawyers to avoid risk of RFEs, denial, etc. Should I do it? What is involved in the switch of lawyers? Just a simple G28? Any risks involved?
Would appreciate any opinions on this matter. Thank you.

My relatives, will be visiting from India. I cannot find anywhere what supported documents are required alongwith DS-160 during the time of interview.
Can someone tell me if this old list of supported documents still holds for the new format for visitor visa.

It's not cheating. The August 16 date is the Processing Up-date, not the posting date.

Yes you need Masters or Bachlor + 5 years progressive experience.

Income must be passive type meaning it should not exceed the income which iam getting on my present H1job or anything else which iam missing.
Not sure the precise definition of passive exists. I would take it to be not involved in any business decisions or day-to-day running of the business. Just putting in the money and letting the CEO and the rest make all the decisions as in buying stock is passive. I may be wrong.

in politics everything is give and take + "my side needs to get the best deal" attitude.
I am conflicted about Dream.
On the one hand, if it passes, the illegal community is pacified for the short term and if legal immigration is taken up immediately, they will not oppose us.
On the other, if it does not pass, we might have to wait for CIR or whatever else. Neither Republicans nor Democrats care to sponsor a bill just for our issues. They will continue to talk about amnesty vs enforcement.
Unless of course, we as a community step up, meet with lawmakers repeatedly, get them to take our issue seriously............

As for as I know USCIS local office has stopped issuing interim EAD some where from 2006.
The only option we have is to request for expedite process which we can do by calling the USCIS customer service number. This you can get it in the USCIS website.
I think we can get the infopass only if 90 days has passed or if your EAD is going to expire soon and you need immediate attention.

What are the requirements to port from eb3 to eb2 with just an i 140 approved? I am happy with my current employer. I have worked with this company for 5 years now. I have a master's from a well known university in the US. At the time of applying for gc, attorney and company advised to file in eb3.

cool..hats off to USCIS...1 yr EAD will take 1 yr to process. u should apply ur next EAD now itself...this is implicit suggession by USCIS to you (and us)
Awesome job (USCIS) guys..I feel like hitting rotten eggs to the dept office..they have increased the fee but have gotten worse in level of services.
You can't apply for EAD more than 120 days prior to expiry of your current EAD. If you do they will return your app ( might keep the check though).

It takes about 1 to 2 weeks for the information from FBI to be tied to your case. So when your SR was raised, the inormation might not have been available yet.
So, if you do not get greened by end of this month, raise another SR request or take an Infopass.
Are you sure that it takes about 1 or 2 weeks? I have seen in this forum people getting approved few days after finger prints?

The I-94 is the form you filled out on the plane and had stamped at the port of entry. It should be attached to your passport on the visa page. It will be on the front of the I-94.
Well, as I suspected, the I-94 was expired a month before the I-485 was filed for my wife. So, do you think that would be a problem?

your pd needs to be current for being allocated a visa number.
they process ( fp/namecheck etc ) and you eventually become documentarily ready. but still pd needs to be current to get GC

thanks for your response. did you print the DS 160 ? I tried that but it wouldn't save it in pdf (like older forms). I didn't try to print the webpage itself.. what did you do... please let me know.

I believe that we'll need to print out DS-160 as well and take it to the consulate, the same way we did with previous forms. We can, therefore, write our names (or whoever is the applicant) in our native language on it.

So, I am advised, that we can just keep the last 13months EMI, and pay off the remaining to avoid that 2% fee And let the 13months EMI be paid normally.
Its same for every bank in India.
This is an option. I did one more trick. Made big part payment and asked them to reduce my EMI. Now I have EMI of Rs. 1200 for next 13 months. No penalty.
